Hairsight — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Hairsight app ("Hairsight", "we", "us") does with your information. Short version: your photos live on your iPhone, we don't run ads or tracking, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
1. Who we are
Hairsight is operated by JLTECH MMC, of. 128, 63A Mohammed Hadid str., Baku AZ1129, Azerbaijan ("the controller"). Contact: office@jltech.az.
2. What we process and why

Photos and quiz answers count as sensitive data in some places, because they relate to your health or appearance. We only process them to give you the estimate you asked for.
3. How the analysis works
Your photos and quiz answers are sent to our analysis API (hosted on Cloudflare) and passed to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the estimate. We do not store your photos or answers, and our logs don't contain them. Anthropic processes API data under its commercial terms and does not use it to train models; it may keep inputs for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring, as described in its policies.
4. What we don't do
- No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no data brokers.
- No selling or sharing of your personal information.
- No medical diagnosis. Hairsight gives cosmetic estimates only.
5. Service providers
- Apple (App Store payments, notifications)
- RevenueCat, Inc. (subscription management; anonymous app ID and purchase receipts)
- Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting of our analysis API)
- Anthropic, PBC (AI analysis of photos for a single request)
Some providers are in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
6. Retention
- On your device: until you delete the data or the app.
- At our analysis API: photos and answers are kept only while your request is processed. Usage counters keyed by the anonymous app ID or IP expire within about 48 hours; free-preview counters are kept to prevent abuse.
- Subscription records: kept by Apple and RevenueCat as long as needed for billing and legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
- Export: Settings → Export my data gives you a .zip of your answers, results, check-ins and photos.
- Delete: Settings → Delete all my data permanently removes photos, scans, history and answers from your iPhone. Deleting the app also removes them.
- Notifications: turn reminders off in Settings → Reminders or in iOS Settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't keep your photos or answers on our servers, most requests are handled directly in the app. For anything else, email office@jltech.az. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Children
Hairsight is for adults (18 or older) and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process data from minors; if you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
9. Security
Photos are stored with iOS Data Protection. All network traffic uses HTTPS. Access to our infrastructure is restricted and secrets are kept out of source code.
10. Changes
We'll update this page and the "Last updated" date when the policy changes. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
